Elisa Virgili is an indipendent researcher. She completed her Ph.D in Philosophy of Social Science at Insubria University and she has been visiting researcher at Center for Gender research in Uppsala (Sweden). She graduated in Political Philosophy at the University of Padua.
Her research interest lies in the area of language and gender, queer theory and the relationship between sport and gender.
She teaches a workshop on political philosophy between the Statale University of Milan, Opera and Bollate prisons.
She is starting a new project entitled The impact of menstruation on female athletes in collaboration with the Centre of Sexuology and Sexualities Studies at Malmo University and the Politesse Research Centre.
