Eva Feole

Eva Feole obtained a PhD in co-supervision between the University of Verona (Italy) and the Jean Monnet University of Saint-Étienne (Lyon, France) with a thesis entitled Mots incarnés et corps illisibles. L’œuvre littéraire de Monique Wittig (thesis supervisors Professor Stefano Genetti and Professor Jean-Marie Roulin), defended in October 2017. She is a member of the reseaech team of the center PoliTeSse - Politics and Theories of Sexuality (University of Verona), and a research associate at the Laboratoire IHRIM (Université Jean Monnet, Saint-Étienne, Lyon). She has published articles on Monique Wittig in scientific reviews (« Le Déchaînement littéraire. Sphinx d’Anne Garréta et Le Corps lesbien de Monique Wittig », Revue critique de Fixxion française contemporaine, 12, 2016, pp. 110-119 and « Je suis l’opoponax. Indicible, écriture et désir dans le roman d’exorde de Monique Wittig », in R. Benedettini (ed.), Francophone Foliage. Dire et écrire le végétal dans les Pays francophones, Gruppo di Studi sul Cinquecento francese, 3, 2018) and she published a book on the thought and poetics of Monique Wittig (Corpo a corpo con il linguaggio. Il pensiero e l’opera letteraria di Monique Wittig, Edizioni ETS 2020). She is interested in literature and gender studies, in particular lesbian literary productions, and teaches French in Italian public schools.
